Eurotix - Pause Music (New album)

And just like that, mine and Larry Forsberg's Eurotix album "Pause Music" is out. It's been a while now, but we are so glad to share this work with you. The album is out now on Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music and so on. We would really appreciate your support.

The album includes our previous single "The Stupid Ones", written when Trump won the election, and the upcoming single "Distant Light", which is about the people stranded on the sinking Titanic. Enjoy!

Larry wrote a few words about the album:

For a little while the world seemed almost normal. And we seized the opportunity. That brief period between the pandemic and Mr. Putin's invasion of Ukraine gave Dennis and me some breathing space, a pause from the madness, and a chance to start working on a new album. Since our last proper album, "Pop", I had written twenty-four new songs to record. Twelve of those were intended for the next album, whereas the other 12 would be released as B-sides.

The first songs to be recorded – and indeed the only ones to be released – from these sessions were "The Stupid Ones" and "Tom Jones", both included on our last EP to date in October 2021.

The next EP, "Delicate Situation", was scheduled for a March 2022 release. Everything but the artwork was ready when we heard of Putin's invasion of Ukraine. And that was the end of that. It suddenly felt blasphemous to release a song about humanity "moving in the right direction". After a week or so of shock I wrote a complete new set of lyrics (more pessimistic this time), still intent on releasing the song. But before we got around to record it a bucket load of shit hit both our fans, and we had to abort the sessions.

I was still intent on completing the album once our personal matters were settled. But it was not to be. What was recorded during that brief pause was a handful of album tracks, and a handful of B-sides. That's all. But what was recorded is much too good to just be buried on hard disc drives in my studio.

So, ladies and gentlemen, here it is; every song recorded or remixed by Eurotix August 2021-January 2022. This is not the album we intended to make - but I hope you will agree that together these songs still make up a pretty good album of Pause Music."

Eurotix - The Stupid Ones (EP)

After a long break because of the pandemic, Eurotix are finally back with our brand new EP "The Stupid Ones". And don't worry, our signature sound of eighties retro synthpop hasn't gone away.

The title track is our most political one yet, discussing the state of the world right now and how some people prefer hate and ignorance over love. The EP also includes a funny song about a guy wishing he was Tom Jones, the melancholic "Memory Lane" and finally a brand new remix of the song "You Won't See Me Dancing".

Eurotix - Love Take Me Higher (EP)

Mine and Larry Forsberg's synthpop project Eurotix just released the brand new EP "Love Take Me Higher". The title track might sound familiar to Eurovision fans. The song was written by Larry and his friends for Melodifestivalen 2016 (Swedish pre-selection) where it was performed in Swedish by drag queen act After Dark.

But the original demo version was quite different. I sang on the original version which was intended for disco group Alcazar. We are thrilled to finally release our version of the song! Check out the LGBTQ themed video down below.

The EP also includes our love letter to disco music: "I Don't Wanna Dance Alone", the Army Of Lovers-esque "Venus Calling Azerbaijan" and finally "Lockdown Disco", a song about the world's current situation.

Eurotix - We Could Have Been (New Version) (EP)

Don't miss mine and Larry Forsberg's synthpop project Eurotix's new EP including "We Could Have Been (New Version)", a brand new italo disco version of the fan favourite track, with stronger re-recorded vocals to match the new tempo of the track. Classic italo disco meets Stock Aitken Waterman in this anthem.

Don't miss mine and Larry Forsberg's synthpop project Eurotix's latest EP including "I Forget Myself", the song that was originally recorded as a demo for Melodifestivalen (Swedish pre-selection to the Eurovision Song Contest) by my old alter-ego Bimbo Boy. We hope you haven't missed the latest EP by mine and Larry Forsberg's synthpop project Eurotix. It's called "Cold" and includes the title track, a powerful synthpop ballad that was originally written and sent to Melodifestivalen, the pre-selection to the Eurovision Song Contest.

Also included are three brand new tracks for your pleasure: "Coming Back To Life" is a dancable number, while "You're A Ghost" is a throwback to the eighties with lyrics about meating an old bully. Finally, we have "Good Boy" which is a bit different from our usual style. But we love adding at least one quirky track to our EP's, something that probably wouldn't feel at home on an album.

Eurotix - Hypnotized (EP)

Mine and Larry Forsberg's synthpop project Eurotix recently released the brand new digital EP "Hypnotized". The title track is a synthpop number dedicated to classic movie icon Donna Reed, best known for her roles in movies such as "It's A Wonderful Life", "From Here To Eternity" and "The Last Time I Saw Paris". She also played Miss Ellie on "Dallas" for one season. Both me and Larry love Donna so we thought she deserved a song of her own.

The EP also includes three bonus tracks: The danceable "Just Another Night" was originally a demo recorded by Bunny X for Melodifestivalen (the Swedish pre-selection to the Eurovision Song Contest) but it didn't go all the way. "Call It Summer" is a song about the Swedish summer with a small nod to ABBA and "He'll Be Home For Christmas 2018" is a much needed update to our first ever Christmas song. The sound och all the tracks is as always inspired by eighties synthpop music.

Eurotix - Conquer The Universe (EP)

Mine and Larry Forsberg's synthpop project Eurotix just released the new digital EP "Conquer The Universe" so get ready for a retro synthpop and euro disco explosion!

Fans of Melodifestivalen – Sweden's pre-selection to the Eurovision Song Contest – might find it interesting to know that the title track started out as a demo for Swedish singer Magnus Carlsson of Alcazar fame. Our version is less "schlager" and more synthpop though.

The EP also includes the uptempo tracks "When Did Your Heart Grow Cold?" and "I'll Be Your Satellite", both inspired by eighties dance music. "If You Were A War" is the only ballad on the EP, with sad lyrics partly written by Dennis. Fun fact: Dennis' mum actually cried the first time he played the song for her.

New year, new music

So we have finally said goodbye to 2016. To be honest, I'm kind of glad the year is over. It has been quite a tragic year filled with hate and violence all over the world. I really hope that 2017 will be much better, with more peace, tolerance and love for everyone. It might sound naive, but I'm not ready to give up on humanity just yet.

My 2017 started off great. Yesterday, I spent the day with Larry in the studio in Gävle recording three new songs for our upcoming EP "Conquer The Universe". The new tracks are called "When Did Your Heart Grow Cold?", "I'll Be Your Satellite" and "If You Were A War". They are, of course, retro synthpop and Hi-NRG, inspired by the eighties sound.

I really love working with Larry because he makes me feel safe in the studio. He encourages me and brings out the best of me while recording. I love it every time Larry says: "The song got much better now when your vocals have been added to the mix." It warms my heart.
